Edy Ganem is an American actress with Mexican roots that stars in the Lifetime comedy-drama “Devious maids”. Edy chatted with us at the “GBK Lounge” in Beverly Hills about her professional projects, fashion choices and her advice to young Latinas that look up to her.
As Edy told us, the 3rd season “Devious Maids” just ended and for what it seems it was a successful season because people are already waiting for the 4th season. She also talked about her new movie “Ana Maria in Novela Land” that just came out at the beginning of the year. The movie was dedicated to Elizabeth Pena who recently passed away and was part of the movie.
When it comes to fashion, Edy is a strong believer in comfort. Our friend shared with us that no matter what, she needs to feel comfortable with what she is wearing. Of course, she has her classy side but her must-have items include tank-tops, leggings and flats! So girls remember; you can be classy and feel comfortable at the same time!
To finish on an inspiring note, Edy had a message for young Latinas that look up to her. Her message was for young Latinas around the world to “embrace the power and know that we [women] can do everything that anyone else can do”. She also added that they should work hard and do not expect anything to be given to them. This was a powerful and motivating message to Latinas conveying that with hard work and dedication everything is possible.
